Tuesday,  September 29th and it is Day 2A

  • The official day for Orange Shirt Day Wed. Sept. 30. Sept. 30 is the day that the busses and trucks came to pick up the indigenous children and brought them to the residential schools where they lived for the next 9 months. We have been announcing that today is Orange Shirt Day but you can wear something today or on Wed. Wearing something Orange is an acknowledgement for those who suffered in the Residential School System. 
  • Grade 8’s check your backpacks for your immunization forms they are due back to the office by Thursday, October 1st.

Monday,  September 28th and it is Day 1B

  • Today is the school Terry Fox run. Mr. Giesbrecht will do something in your gym class. But please bring a donation and give it to your teacher or at the office. 
  • Monday, Sept. 28 is Orange Shirt Day. In the spirit of reconciliation, please wear something Orange on that day in recognition of those who suffered in the Residential School System. 

Thursday, September 24th and it is Day 6B

  • Tomorrow is the school Terry Fox run. Mr. Giesbrecht will do something in your gym class. But please bring a donation and give it to your teacher or at the office. 
  • Monday, Sept. 28 is Orange Shirt Day. In the spirit of reconciliation, please wear something Orange on that day in recognition of those who suffered in the Residential School System. 
  • Grade 10-12 Students please stop by the office to pick up your pictures.

Wednesday, September 23rd and it is Day 6A

  • Reminder to High School students driving to school – please park in the East Parking lot. South side parking is reserved for school and HSD staff 
  • Reminder to students to only put paper, cardboard and empty drink containers in recycling. All other items including Masks and tissues should be placed in the garbage. Your help with this is appreciated as our custodian staff has lots of other work to do with cleaning the school
  • The flag is currently being flown at half mast in honor of the passing of The right Honourable John Turner, Canada’s 17th prime minister.

  • Special Welcome to all new students. Of course our grade 7’s and we have 11 new students to our school and community.

  • Special Welcome to some new teachers. Mr. David Kroeker and Ms. Jordan Myall, and to Mr. Reimer our New Vice Principal and part time Learning Support teacher. 
  • I want to thank everyone for their respectful cooperation of the rules and protocols that we have to have in place. Of course these are not school or division rules, these are rules put in place but Public Health. 
  • Thanks to the teachers for all the hard work that they have put in to making your return to school as pleasant as possible. 
  • I want to continue to encourage all of you to make this as good of a year as possible.
