With February behind us, the second semester is officially in full swing! It was wonderful to see the renewed energy in the building last month as students settled into their new classes and embraced a fresh start.
February was also packed with incredible activities both inside and outside the classroom. We had a fantastic afternoon of Grade Wars events, where the whole school came together to show off some amazing school spirit. Our students also had the opportunity to take their learning on the road—several groups enjoyed educational trips to the Festival du Voyageur, our musicians performed at the Band Festival, and some of our older students explored their post-secondary options at the University of Manitoba Open House.
To top it all off, I want to send a huge congratulations to our Girls Junior Varsity Basketball team for making school history and bringing home our first-ever girls’ Zone Championship banner! Congratulations to Coach Matt Feakes and his team on this remarkable accomplishment.
It was a great month of connection and learning, and as you will read below, we have even more in store for March!

Middle Years Report Cards & Parent Teacher
Term 2 is coming to a close for our middle years students, and we look forward to sharing a snapshot of their learning with you. Report cards, including marks and teacher comments, will be available to families via Parent Portal on March 20th at 4:00 PM. We encourage you to review the report card with your child to discuss their progress and goals.
Please note that our Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for the evening of April 23rd. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress before then, please feel free to contact their teacher directly.
Senior Years Interim Reports
Interim reports for our Senior Years students will also be released on March 20th on Parent Portal. These reports serve as a valuable check-in about six weeks into the semester, providing an early gauge of student progress. This timely feedback allows parents and students to identify successes and address any challenges early in the term.
Activity Day- March 27th
On March 27th, all students will have the opportunity to participate in a half-day afternoon activity. Permission forms outlining specific details, including any associated costs, will be sent home next week. These activities provide a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with their peers as we head into Spring Break. We want to ensure all students can participate, so please contact the school office if the cost is a barrier for your family.
Wizard of OZ
The Wizard of Oz practices are well underway, and we are looking forward to the show taking place on the evenings of April 30th and May 1st. The cast and crew have been working incredibly hard, and we can’t wait to see their talent shine on stage! Tickets will go on sale after Spring Break.
Square Now Working
Our Square debit and credit machine is now fully operational! We appreciate your patience as we worked through some initial technical delays. Students and parents can now use this system to conveniently pay for hot lunches, school fees, and other school-related costs. Please note that credit card payments are accepted for transactions over $50.
