It is hard to believe that we are nearing the finish line of the school year. It has been a truly wonderful year for Mr. Kipe and me as we have gotten to know the staff, students, and community of Landmark Collegiate. Over the past months, we have witnessed the incredible dedication of our staff to helping students succeed, the drive of our students to foster a positive school culture, and a community that wholeheartedly rallies behind our school’s events and people. Thank you for your unwavering support of Landmark Collegiate and the futures of our students.

We also want to extend our warmest congratulations to the Class of 2026. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavors!

Vanessa David, Principal

Music & Arts

We are hosting our final Choir and Band Concert and Art Showcase next Wednesday evening, June 3rd, at 7 pm. There will be desserts and a silent auction along with a display of our students’ artwork in the hallways. It is sure to be a great evening of celebrating the arts at Landmark Collegiate!

We are also hosting our annual Talent Show on June 12th in the afternoon. It is sure to be a spectacular show of our students’ gifts!

Athletics

We are hosting a Sports Awards Luncheon on Thursday, June 11, from 12 – 1:30 pm.  It will be a fun event celebrating our high school teams and athletes from this school year. The will include lunch, team awards, and prizes. All high school students who participated on a team this year are invited to attend. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased using cash or debit at the office.

Congratulations to our softball team for a great run this year, including an impressive showing at Zones! Thanks to Stephanie Reimer for her support in coaching the team. Good luck to our grade 7/8 Track and Field athletes competing in the first week of June.

Graduation

We are looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 at our convocation on June 25th at 4 pm, in the Landmark Collegiate gymnasium. Everyone is welcome to attend, celebrate our students’ accomplishments, and send them off to their bright futures! Please also note that there is no school for grade 7/8 students that day.

From The Office

Moving this summer? Let us know if you are moving to a different school, either within our division or elsewhere. You should also let our Transportation department know if you’re moving but are still attending Landmark Collegiate.

Just a reminder that ALL student fees are due by the end of the school year. Please sign in to Parent Portal to pay them online or come by the office to pay by cash, cheque, debit, or credit card.

Exam week is June 16 – 22. Please check the website for the schedule. Regular classes for grade 9 – 12 students are done on June 15th, and are expected to attend school for their exam blocks only. If they need to be at school for transportation reasons, they are expected to be in the Learning Commons.

Parking/Bus Loop Reminders

It has come to our attention that parents have been passing buses during drop-off and pick-up times. Please be mindful of buses’ stop signs and that they have the right of way in the loop.

Another caution is for families dropping off students on the street in front of the school. There is a lot of traffic before and after school, and it is difficult for drivers to see students
