Christmas holidays will be here before we know it but the Collegiate remains a busy place.
Congratulations to all volleyball teams on a very successful season this year. Thank you to all staff and community coaches for their time and dedication to provide this great opportunity for students. Congratulations to the JV girls for winning the Zone 13 championship and advancing to the Provincials in Brandon Nov. 22 – 24. The JV Boys advanced to Provincials as well by winning a wildcard berth. Both teams performed very well. The varsity boys have won a wildcard spot to Provincials in Winnipeg which take place Nov. 29 – Dec. 1.
The senior choir had a wonderful performance at Choral Fest on Nov. 19. All students involved in LC Music program are now busy preparing for the Christmas concert which will take place on Wed. December 12 at 7:00pm at the Prairie Rose EMC. All community members are welcome to come and enjoy a wide range of Christmas holiday music. Thanks to everyone who participated in the various fundraisers run by the music parent association. All funds raised will go towards the band trip to Chicago later in Spring.
LC staff and students are participating in various service projects in the next month. A few classes have gone and put together Christmas Shoe Boxes. The school is collecting items for the Tache Christmas hamper, and the Grade 11 and 12s will be volunteering at Salvation Army and at the Union Gospel Women’s Shelter on Dec. 21.
