Thanks to all who supported our school fundraiser by purchasing or selling chocolates, the money raised will go to offset the costs for student extra-curricular activities such as sport, musical and grad costs in addition to student council events and special presentations.
Thank you to Jenny Plett for organizing the annual Varsity vs Alumni Volleyball Game. All proceeds helped support our volleyball program.
November is the first reporting period. Grade 7 – 12 reports will be posted on the parent portal on Friday, November 15th. Parent teacher interviews will be held on Thursday, November 21, from 4:00 – 7:30. Parents can book appointments through the parent portal or by calling the office.
We have about a month left in sixer volleyball season. Our varsity and JV teams have been doing well in weekend tournaments and are making a run at zone championships with a goal to get into Provincials at the end of the month. Come out and watch some of your middle years teams play as well. Only another 2 weeks for them.
Our senior choir will be performing at Choral Fest in Winnipeg at 10:45, November 18, at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. Our Christmas concert is 7:00 pm on Wed. Dec. 11 at Prairie Rose EMC.
The Music Parent Association has begun their annual Christmas fundraisers. The two fundraisers are opportunities for students to raise funds for future band trip(s). Students will be selling perogies and poinsettias. Order forms for the fundraisers are due on November 7, but delivery dates will be staggered. The tentative delivery date for poinsettias is Thursday, November 28 and the perogies is Thursday, December 12. Contact any band student or the school if you are interested in any of these fundraisers. Thanks to Angela Kroeker, Lorrie Penner, Jodi, Penner and Marj Toews for their work on the MPA.
